Objectives:

• To motivate students to consider interdisciplinary architecture in their designs.

• To know the value of incorporating other factors with architecture.

• To discover new techniques and innovations to integrate in the designs of the architects and future architects.

• To infuse students and professionals with new techniques and principles of applying different fields with architecture.

• To stimulate inter-school discussion, debate, and discourse about pressing issues on the many other fields and elements that affect architecture.

Description:

• The nature of the activity is an architectural symposium. It will be held on February 04, 2012, Saturday from 9:00AM to 3:00PM at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, Resorts World, Pasay City. Target number of participants is 1300-1500 persons.

Target Beneficiaries:

• University of Santo Tomas College of Architecture students

• Architecture students from other universities in the Philippines

• Faculty members from the University of Santo Tomas and other schools

• Practicing professionals

Monitoring and Evaluation:

The project will be spearheaded by Architecture Network, a duly recognized student organization of the College of Architecture. The Chair of the organizing committee is Paula Jairah V. Dayao.
